Terms of service

These terms are an agreement between you and Melodev, based in Puerto Rico ("we", "us"), for the use of Flipspread: the app at app.flipspread.com, the API at api.flipspread.com and the flipbook reader. By creating an account or using Flipspread you agree to them. If you use Flipspread for a company, you agree for that company and confirm you may do so.

The service

Flipspread turns PDFs and images into flipbooks that can be shared by link or embedded on websites, and keeps a flipbook's link and embed code when a new issue replaces the old one. An agency account manages workspaces for its clients; each client workspace can have its own users.

Accounts

Keep your sign-in details to yourself and tell us at once if you think someone else used your account. You are responsible for what happens under your account and for the people you invite. Agencies are responsible for the client workspaces they create and for the people they give access to them.

Your content

You keep all rights to the documents, images and other content you upload. You give us permission to store, convert, display and distribute that content only as needed to run Flipspread for you, including showing published flipbooks to anyone with their link or on the websites that embed them. You confirm you have the rights to publish what you upload.

Acceptable use

Do not use Flipspread to publish content that is illegal, infringes the rights of others, is deceptive or harmful, or contains malware; to send spam; or to break, overload or get around the security of the service. We may remove content or suspend access that breaks these rules, and we will tell you why when we can.

Plans, payment and renewal

• Flipspread is $69.99 a month for each client workspace, plus any tax that applies, billed in US dollars through Stripe.
• Plans renew automatically every month and are charged to the card on file until cancelled. A card on file is charged under the card authorization terms shown when it is saved.
• You can cancel at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, and the workspace keeps working until then. We do not refund partial periods, except where the law requires it.
• If a payment fails, Stripe tries again, and we may limit a workspace that stays unpaid.
• We tell the billing contact at least 30 days before a price change takes effect.

Availability and changes to the service

We work to keep Flipspread available and your content safe, but we do not promise it will be uninterrupted or error free. We may improve, change or retire features; when a change takes away something you rely on, we will tell you ahead of time when we can.

Ending the agreement

You can stop using Flipspread and cancel at any time. We may suspend or end an account that seriously or repeatedly breaks these terms. When an account ends we may stop showing its flipbooks; ask us before then if you need a copy of your content.

Disclaimer and liability

Flipspread is provided "as is". To the extent the law allows, we disclaim implied warranties, including fitness for a particular purpose. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses such as lost profits or data, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us for Flipspread in the 12 months before the claim.

Law

These terms are governed by the laws of Puerto Rico and the applicable laws of the United States, and disputes go to the courts of Puerto Rico.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. We change the date at the top, and we tell account holders by email at least 30 days before a change that matters takes effect. Using Flipspread after that means you accept the new terms.
